Progress Presentation Feedback:

During the progress presentation, valuable feedback was provided, prompting me to consider the success metrics for my microinteractions. I reflected on how I would measure the effectiveness of these interactions. Would it be through testimonials, reviews, or other forms of user feedback? Defining clear success metrics will be crucial in evaluating the impact of my designs and ensuring they meet user expectations.

Materiality of the Toys:

I also contemplated the materiality of the toys I'm designing. Considering the tactile experience and sensory feedback offered by different materials can enhance the overall user experience and engagement with the product. Exploring the aesthetics and physical properties of materials will be integral in creating toys that are not only visually appealing but also enjoyable to interact with.

Design of the Microinteraction Systems:

Additionally, I revisited the design of the microinteraction systems themselves. How can I ensure that these systems are intuitive, seamless, and effectively communicate their intended purpose? Incorporating principles of user-centered design and interaction design will be key in designing microinteractions that resonate with users and enhance their overall experience.

Preparation for Dissertation Submissions:

In parallel with developing my Arduino microinteraction systems, I continued to prepare for dissertation submissions. I found that my dissertation felt more coherent now, thanks to the exploration of new theories and concepts. Integrating insights from my research into my dissertation narrative has helped to enrich the overall discussion and provide a deeper understanding of the topic at hand.

Challenges and Achievements:

I challenged myself to complete the Arduino microinteractions to ensure readiness for upcoming events like open studios. Despite the need for user testing and feedback gathering, I managed to create a piezo buzzer micro-interaction and digital counter. These achievements mark significant progress in my project and bring me closer to realizing my design goals.

Throughout this process, I found Midjourney to be an invaluable tool. The platform's user-friendly interface and functionality have saved me time and allowed me to focus more on the creative aspects of my work.
